Fashion meets wearable art in “The Abundance Collection”, which portrays the abundance of people making up Osime’s support system through her journey with cancer, represented by the multiple circles visible in some of her paintings or in the splash of pearl beads embellished in some designs. She digitally designed some of the prints used to create the fabrics for this collection, while others were from images of her paintings and artwork. She worked with feminine colours and floral patterns, indicating a delicate life that needs to be nurtured with love, and for some paintings, she insisted on the presence of green to signify fertility and abundance. She decided to maintain free flowing designs in this collection to portray the freedom she has from the cares of the world. With “The Abundance Collection”, Osime captured her gratitude for the many people that make up her support system as she navigates her healing journey.
