From the first sketch to the final stitch, our process is guided by emotion, intention, and craftsmanship. At Simeogieme, we believe that every garment tells a story, evokes emotion, sets a mood, and every story begins with an idea.

The Birth of a Vision

Our design process starts with an idea or an experience, which leads to creating mood boards, carefully curated collections of images and textures that share meaning with or encapsulates the life experiences of the creative director (Osime Saibu), and the story she wants to tell. This ultimately influences the pieces she then designs for each collection.

The Sketch

With inspiration firmly in place, the journey begins with the sketch. Our Creative Director works tirelessly, refining and reimagining until the sketch (or documented concept) can effectively communicate the confidence and sophistication that defines our brand, to be interpreted by the production team in delivering the finished product. She also creates unique fabric patterns with which the fabrics are then created for use in each collection.

The Art of Craftsmanship

At Simeogieme, craftsmanship is not merely a skill, it is an art form. The artisans we engage are masters of their craft, bringing decades of expertise to the table. Each cut, stitch, and embellishment is executed with meticulous care. Bodycon fabrics are delicately woven with careful attention to fabric design, and seams are invisibly joined as the sketch transitions into its tangible form. Sim Simma – Bold, Feminine, Unforgettable

A vibrant celebration of womanhood, first shown at Africa Fashion Week London in 2013. This collection featured bold colors, flattering silhouettes, and flowing maxi dresses designed to make every woman feel admired.

Lines & Colours – Art in Motion The designs in this collection were inspired by different moods, emotions and abstract images that are expressed using fabric. The lines are bold, the colours are vibrant and the designs are structured, purposefully to appeal to bold, vibrant and confident ladies.

Play Cut – Order in the Unconventional Introduced as our SS17 theme, Play Cut was an exploration of unexpected design. Featuring asymmetry and cut-outs, it offered a fresh take on minimalism with a daring edge.

A NEW DIRECTION More recent collections unveiled by Simeogieme, in the last couple of years, tells an emotive story of life events Osime has experienced. They originate from a place where beauty was birthed from pain. These saw fabrics being created from Osime’s paintings and digital artwork, which were inspired by these significant life events. The fabric was used to make the carefree and fluid designs her most recent collections are known for. The Abundance Collection (SS25) – A Symphony of Gratitude Our latest collection is deeply personal. Inspired by our founder’s healing journey from leukaemia, it celebrates life, love, and the people who carry us through. With flowing forms, soft florals, and prints derived from her paintings, each piece whispers of resilience, femininity, and renewal.We will explore this story further in a future newsletter.
