Introducing Simeogieme’s Spring/Summer 2025 Collection, themed “The Abundance Collection”, which was unveiled on the 12th of October 2024 during Africa Fashion Week London 2024, at the prestigious Kensington Conference & Events Centre, London.

When I decided to design a new collection, I looked deep within me for inspiration while I painted patterns to be used for fabric creation. The word that filled my consciousness and my mood while painting was Abundance. This defined my collection.

With “The Abundance Collection”, I captured my gratitude for still being alive despite battling Leukaemia (which I got diagnosed with exactly a year ago), my gratitude for the many people that make up my support system, and my gratitude for the many blessings of God. The Abundance of supportive people is represented by the multiple circles visible in some of my paintings. For the prints used to create the fabric, I digitally designed some, while the others were paintings I did using a paint brush and some acrylic paint on a paint pad. For some prints, I worked with feminine colours and floral patterns indicating a delicate life that needs to be nurtured with love, and for some paintings, I insisted on the presence of green to signify Fertility and Abundance. I decided to maintain free flowing designs in this collection to portray the freedom I have from the cares of the world. Experiencing a life event like cancer has made me more carefree, as I was confronted with the reality that we can’t really control life or time.

With the Abundance of Love & Support from God and the beautiful humans in my life, I am on my healing journey, which is birthing beauty out of the pain I have endured. For this, I am deeply grateful and live in joy every day.”
